Software Engineering Manager

AgroVision is looking for a Software Engineering Manager for our Pigs Engineering organization. This role is focused on organizational transformation, engineering maturity and delivery excellence. The goal is to build a mature engineering organization that combines strong people leadership, engineering excellence and predictable delivery.

You will play a key role in shaping how we develop software, collaborate across teams, and deliver value to our customers. As a member of the Pigs Leadership Team, you will help drive the evolution of the organization through leadership, coaching, and the implementation of scalable ways of working.

Your primary mission is to continue the transformation of the Pigs Engineering organization into a highly effective, predictable, and continuously improving software development organization. You will drive organizational maturity, support the adoption of modern delivery practices, and help create an environment where teams can perform at their best. While people leadership is an important part of the role, your main focus is to improve delivery effectiveness, strengthen organizational capabilities, and help the organization adopt scalable and sustainable ways of working. You will help build a high performing engineering culture where continuous learning, accountability, quality, and collaboration are key drivers of success.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drive delivery predictability through effective planning, prioritization, dependency management and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships and facilitate effective communication across engineering, product management, business stakeholders and customers when relevant.
• Facilitate alignment across teams, stakeholders and leadership to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
• Use delivery, flow and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive data-informed decisions.
• Lead the continued implementation and evolution of SAFe, FlowAgile and other modern ways of working.
• Drive engineering excellence through continuous improvements in software quality, automation, CI/CD, DevOps, testing practices and delivery capabilities.
• Drive the professionalization and maturity of the Pigs Engineering organization through leadership, coaching and organizational change.

As a member of the Pigs Sector Leadership Team, you will help shape the future direction of the organization and contribute to strategic decisions across the sector.

Your skills

You have significant experience in leading software engineering teams and driving organizational change. You combine strong people leadership capabilities with a solid understanding of software engineering and technology organizations.

Must have

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams or organizations.
• Practical experience with SAFe and modern delivery methodologies such as FlowAgile, Lean Flow or similar approaches.
• Proven track record driving organizational transformation and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership, coaching and facilitation skills.
• Experience implementing new processes and driving adoption across teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Good understanding of modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing and engineering metrics.

Nice to have

• Experience with Flow Metrics and Value Stream Management.
• Experience driving engineering excellence initiatives in larger organizations.
• Experience working in international software development organizations.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern software delivery environments.
